Children City Creek Park Dubai The name was derived from the location of the park on the bank of Dubai Creek. The foundation of the park was due to the policy of Dubai Municipality to expand the green land in the city and to provide the residents and tourists with recreational places enabling them to spend enjoyable times away from the stress of work. The Boats and Park Entrances Five gates are distributed along the Creek Park, three of which are on the main street and the other two, on both sides of Al Maktoum and Al Garhood bridges. Four berths to host boats arriving from Deira and Dubai are available, enabling visitors to reach the park by a touring boat. The Green Area The park is designed in a modern style, combining both architectural and natural designs. It includes new kinds of plants cultivated for the first time in the United Arab Emirates. The park comprises 280 kinds of trees and flowers planted for the first time in addition to green lawns covering around 39 hectares of the park's total area. Ditch Irrigation Area The area close to A1 Garhood Bridge was designated for the cultivation of palm trees and is irrigated through ditches. This irrigation method was applied in the past and it's still used in some parts of the U.A.E.
